When starting a new drawing in ARES Kudo, we have the option to choose a template. The program offers two default templates.
However, as we progress through this course, we observe that there are essential settings we need to adjust, such as units, text styles, and dimension styles that fit our specific needs. Additionally, there are other elements that users often need to load or recreate with each new drawing.
If you typically work on similar projects, it is likely that you use the same layer names, colors, line weights, and other settings repeatedly. Therefore, every time you start a new drawing, you may find yourself recreating the same layer structure. So why not prepare a personalized template—or even several if necessary—that aligns with the type of work you usually do?
In this module you will learn how to:
- Create a custom template.
- Load text and dimension styles.
- Create a list of pre-configured base layers.
- Add blocks to the drawing.
- Load commonly used linetypes and hatch patterns.
- Configure Paper Space sheets for consistent sheets.
